A message from Ron Heagy
"I'm paralyzed from the neck down...what's your excuse?"

Welcome, and thanks for your visit!

Hi, I'm Ron Heagy and welcome to my website.  I broke my neck the day before my 18th birthday in a surfing accident.  I am now a quadriplegic, paralyzed from the neck down.  I chose to Never Give Up.  After receiving a masters degree by typing with a stick in my teeth, I am now a inspirational speaker, mouth painter, author, husband, father, and founder of a special needs camp located in Oregon, which has given freedom to numerous individuals to explore the wonderful outdoors. I am also the founder of Life Is An Attitude LLC.

ROLL ON RON COLLECTIBLE SMILEY'S ARE IN!!

I hope to have a video clip from my "smiley face" story on line very soon.

For those of you that have not heard it- years ago I was going to give up my speaking and I went to give my last speech.   Afterwards, a young man in a wheelchair rolled up to me with his nurse.   I soon found out that his name was "Kevin" and that he was born paralyzed from the nose down.   He has never tasted chocolate, drank a pepsi etc.., and here I was feeling sorry for myself.   My eyes filled with tears when Kevin's nurse told me "Ron- you are Kevin's hero and he loves to hear you speak!"

God sent me an angel that day and I wanted to help him in some way.  I asked his Mom what is one thing Kevin would really love to do?   I was thinking she would say "go to Disneyland" but instead she said..."the one thing Kevin really wishes he could do is to smile."

I knew I could not give him that, but I started selling these smiley guys for $5 a piece in order to help kids like Kevin.  We were able to buy Kevin a special computer that he controls with his eyes!  Today he has a job working on his computer.  :)

These new smileys have wheels instead of legs to remind us all to smile in the face of adversity!   They are only $5 but every smile helps!

Love, RON    ROLL ON!!  :)
