Comment: Hey Ron.. You are amazing! You came to my school on the nineteenth of April, 2006. I love how you are so strong and fun to be around. Your wife and kid should be very proud to have you as a father and a husband. You know more about the good things in life and how to never give up, then my own grandfather. You made me cry, you made be laugh, and well, you made me think. With your story and your words, and your laughs and your will to go on, I thought about it,It thought about life, and boy I am glad to be on my two feet today.(not to be taken literally :) ) Thank you Ron for coming to my school and helping me understand why I am here, and that I can never give up.

I believe what you believe and I only hope other people do as well. I mean this out of the bottom of my heart. Ron you are now my inspiration and always will be.
I can only say thank you and I really hope we could stay in contact. Best of luck!!

Thank you so much for taking time to come to Overland High School yesterday and telling us your story. It was truly inspiring and uplifting to hear everything you had to say. Its now very clear to me that the odds can be beaten, to never give up, and that we all have our own disabilities- its what we make of it that matters. You have an amzing story, and as you continue to tell it Im sure that others will be as touched as I am. Thanks again. Roll on

He also taught me that never to give up because who we are as humans makes us specail from evrybody eles and to try hard at we do to accomplish things in a great manner. That man taught me that life can turn on use in a blink of an eye and things can get worse because nobody has it has bad as it can get. This man is an inspiration to all my class mates and everybody that hes spread his story to. I look up to this man as my idol thats cares about others one who will never give up no matter what the case. Comment: Hey Ron, you truly are an inspiration for us to go on in life and just keep smiling. We both have been through a lot with friends, and being ditched. Even though its not as tough as what you have been through it still hurts and is hard to get through. After hearing you speak today it just made both of us cry and hope that we can be as positive in life and about everything as you are. We are so glad that you decided to keep speaking, because if you didn't, then we would probably be in a pissed off mood right now. Instead we are writing to you and happy for the people that love us in our lives right now and how we dont want that to change. It made us realize it doesnt matter what people think about us or what they judge about us, it just matters about the outlook we have on life and the attitude we maintain. So thank you soo much, and good luck with the rest of your life. Roll On Ron!! And THANK YOU FOR COMING TO THUNDERRIDGE HIGHSCHOOL!!! ---Jenifer and Deanna

Comment: Ron came to my school in Oregon today. I went into school with my regular attitude of "I hate life" "I don't see the point of coming to school I'm not gonna graduate" when I heard everyone was in the gym I was like "great another stupid assembally" but when I walked in the door, a man sat in a wheelchair, everyone quietly listening. everyone... in my school... quitly listening. By the time I had heard everything he had to say, and after I had met him, I couldn't wait to go to class and show everyone that I was smart enough and strong enough to get through graduation. To live out my dreams. To go to college. Thank you so much Ron!

Comment: Hi Ron! You spoke today at my school, West Salem High. You taught me to think of life in a different perspective and to see that i really DO have it off better than alot of people and that i need to be grateful for just everything i have in life. Right after your speech i called my mom and dad and told them i loved them wether i showed it or not, including my little brothers. I'd also like to personally apologize for the rude people that didn't listen or thought your speech was stupid (kids sitting behind me, mostly). i don't know what it'll take to get to them, but you sure got to me. Thank you so much, Ron.

Comment: Ron, you came to West Salem High School on april 13. You gave such an insperational speach that it left 99% of my school speachless. I have heard stories about people who have overcome tragity, but until today I have never met anyone. I was thinking as I looked at your painting "American Eagle" that no matter how much you say to just look at you as a man who overcame a tragity, myself and millions of teenagers all around can't help but look at you as a hero and I just want to thank you for all that you have done not only in your dream, but also helping other people continuing on with their dreams. Thank you.
Roll on Ron.

Several years ago I heard you speak at a convention and it changed my life. And tonight I am preparing the copy of "Life is an Attitude" I purchased that weekend to give as a graduation present to a friends son. A friend I would not have had if you hadn't inspired me to live my life instead of fear it. Just through that one weekend so many years ago you have touched 2 generations. Comment: Ron, Thank you for coming to my school the other day, your speech showed many people how lucky they are in their lives, and to be more considerate to others whose lives are worse than theirs. My mom keeps saying that I have a wonderful life, but I never really thought that. I was always thinking about that bad things in life that I have experienced, anxiety, pain, and being super mad at my sister. But your speech changed my persception on my life, by listening to yours. Now you have inspired me to help others even more. Thank you Ron.

Comment: Ron, I think it is so amazing what all you do. You came to speak at my school today (February 22, 2006)and it meant so much to me. I do all I can to help people with disabilities and make sure they feel like human beings too. I am just a student that listened to your speech and it really touched me. It makes me realize that there is life out there and I should experience it till the day I die. The one thing you said to me that made me realize so much, was that if you can smile, then why dont you. If you have the ability to smile, then smile. Smiling doesnt only happen on your facce, but also in your heart and it really touched me to hear you speak. Like I said, I am just a student, but you made me realize that I should live life in every way possible. I just wanted to say thank you for all you did for me as a person. You have a beautiful wife and daughter and I know (not only hope) but know you have a great day. Thank you!

Wow you are an amazing individual! You spoke for us today at our Primerica Younger Generation Gala, and man, you just blew me away. I used to allow obstacles in my life bring my spirits down and though I have been working on the six inches between my ears, YOU have really proven to me what qualities a real fighter posses'. Because of your accident, you have been able to inspire and touch others, myself included, so when life seems to be going badly I will always know that it's just to make me stronger. If things start to get tough and I feel like crying, I will laugh instead in rememberance of your hour long journey for a candy bar machine! Thank you, thank you! God bless you, your wonderful and beautiful wife, and those beautiful little girls of yours and may you continue to bless those that you have not yet reached with your enormous heart!!! :)

I am very excited to see you this upcoming February 18th at the Primerica Gala in Los Angeles. I must say that I think it would be awesome if you came in contact with my agency and would come speak to our population. Regardless, it is an honor to be able to see you speak. Keep touching lives, my friend.

Comment: Ron,
Humans as yourself are inspirations to people...we learn many values from others misfortune but learn to appreciate life. Many take life for granted and don't stop to even think about it. I believe that God picks special people in this life as yourself to teach us what life is really all about. Meaning to realize that we are not invincible and nothing is impossible with God.
I am fighting for my life for the past four years, battling Multiple Myeloma. There's times the doctor make me feel there's no hope left and then just when I feel like they beat me to a pulp, God comes thru with something else to full them. My faith is my life. Reading your story made me even appreciate it that much more! God bless you Ron, your paintings are beautiful. I do Free lance photography on and I'll bet I have a few photos that you would love to possibly paint. If your interested please do contact me and I will show some to you. It seems tho you like landscapes. You can paint them and I will donate it to you free of charge. Make sure that you put your name in the subject line and Mouth Painter so I will know who you are. God Bless you! Nezzie

Comment: Hi Ron,
I was at the check-out line in a grocery store the other day, and the subject of disablities came up. The checker said that at one time in her life she had gotten into trouble and was in a "reform" school her in Idaho. She said that you had come to give a presentation and that it had changed her life! She now is on the right track and wanted me to thank you for giving her the inspiration to turn her life around.
Roll on Ron!!!

Comment: Hi there,
Wish you could have your web page in Spanish as well to more people to hear from your history of life... My oldest son of 12 years old nowadays has disphasia and had a stroke when he was born. For all these years we have fought as a family to demostrate that life is what you decided to live, but is not an easy path to reeducate your environment.
Congratulations for rebuilding your life in positive!!

Comment: Ron, I would like to thank you personally for coming to my high school and speaking to all of us on the importance of making positive choices and "never giving up". I bought your book after your speech and my brother, who is disabled, immediately wanted to read it and you touched his heart as well as mine. You are a wonderful inspiration and I pray that you can continue speaking to people across the country in hopes that your words touch them as much as you've touched mine. God was watching over you and I'm glad He sent you to my school. Your words of inspiration are deeply moving and I hope our messages to you will continue to motivate you to speak to hundreds more. Thank you and God bless you and your family :)
